Songs for these times

This is a set of songs dealing with what I’ve learned and how I’ve grown over the last few years.

Because of the way my songs come to me I believe they all really are messages of my higher self. That’s why I named them “Songs for these times” because they have helped me so much in understanding the wisdom that is available in these times, the opportunities for healing and self-transformation.

Some of the songs are:

♡ Soul is listening

♡ Open hearts

♡ I’m not alone

♡ Give yourself time

♡ We are love

♡ Good days will come

Your soul is listening

The first song is about how we need to listen to what our pain is trying to tell us. We can learn more about ourselves if we listen to our hearts and if we are willing to take the time to heal ourselves.

Your soul is guiding you and ready to help you if you choose to make your own feelings a priority. Tears really are magic, they help set free blocked pain.

Open hearts

Open hearts is about this process, what happens when we allow ourselves to feel our pain and dare to crack open. When we stop trying to hide the pain or numb it.

We have so little experience dealing with pain in our society. It seems pain is a taboo, we all seem to have to pretend we’re naturally doing great in this more and more machine-world. For me the only way to be fine in this type of cut-off living is by becoming as cold as a machine. I think we are worth more than that and our pain can guide us. Our hearts want to show us the way.

I'm not alone

I’m not alone is a lovely fresh song that came through quite spontaneous.

I’m all about being open about our spiritual experiences. For years I’ve learned to hide them because I was considered mad, weak, too vulnerable, basically not socially adapted. Then I discovered that when I started talking about my experiences, my openness gave others permission to talk about theirs. I was told the most beautiful stories from the other side and also very sad stories of family members trying to shut up the sensitive ones, often to try to protect them from this world in which you were deemed not safe if you had contact with the other side. We do have quite the history.

I honestly believe these times are over. We may not be the majority but we’re definitely not alone and there is more openness to talk about this now. I feel we actually have a responsibility to talk about our otherworldly experiences and share them to help everyone see that we’re not merely flesh and bones.

We're not merely flesh and bones

In Give yourself time I sing about this, how we are not merely flesh and bones.
This song comes from this deep sense of sadness I have experienced watching people (and myself) trying to fit in in this materialistic world, denying our spiritual side.

Trying to fit in in a society that pretends the physical, corporate and financial laws are the only laws we are dealing with while knowing there is a web of life supporting our every breath, if we only dare to surrender to that great love that’s available to us.

I have also learned that we transform like caterpillars into butterflies, when we accept that we are multi dimensional beings living human lives.

We've been kept blind

Then I wrote this song, We are love to try help someone deal with unavoidable pain.

When obstacles come it’s possible that we can but go within to deal with them. We are so used to fighting our circumstances outside of us, fixing things, situations and people. Sometimes however it’s impossible to change anything in that way. Sometimes the only way is in and yes, then we face shadow work.

I cannot recommend this enough though, do pick up the baton and get on with it. Dig, dive, observe, unearth, do your crying, let go, cry again and again, … It may seem hard but it’s harder not to do it, and if you don’t you’ll never find the pot of gold either.

Good days will come, you don't plan them, they'll come

The last song in this set is Good days will come.

I wrote this song about 20ys ago. I feel it was a message from my higher self to me. I really needed to hear this then. Good days will come, the title says it all.

It’s a simple song, like a little stream that flows and gains strength and confidence. As the song goes on it ends in a pure celebration of the present moment, of life, as it is.

This really is what I’ve learned in a nutshell, the only time is now.

Much love, and I hope to one day be able to sing these songs for you,

 ♡
