QiGong is an ancient healing modality,

known to restore and preserve both physical and mental health.

For over 5000ys now people have benefitted from QiGong to help the life force, chi (or Qi), flow through their bodies.

QiGong is a gentle cousin of acupuncture. It works on the same meridians and is able to unblock, restore and stimulate the flow of the Qi through these pathways.

This is done through specific movements that apply a mixture of strength, stretch and release upon those meridians. The theory behind this is found in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Life force or Qi can get blocked by the events in our lives.

These events may be as simple as a daily unhealthy lifestyle and as severe as a physical or psychological trauma, and everything inbetween.

QiGong is marvellous at restoring harmony in both mind and body

because it works on a subtle level within our meridians, within the pathways in which the life force flows through our body.

There is not 1 type of QiGong but all of them have this in common:

The use of specific gentle movements of the body in combination with regulated breathing and a calm and focused mind.

This stimulates the flow of Qi in our body and helps us preserve and restore our health.

And the best news is:

you don’t have to be strong nor flexible to practice QiQong.

Practice is available to all ages and all levels of fitness.

The only thing QiGong requires is an openness to spend some time with(in) your body, focusing on your breath while performing subtle but powerful movements.

I hope to see you at one of my classes!
